James Tanner is Chef Ambassador for UK food specialist Coupe de Pates, working closely with the company’s brigade of development chefs to take products from concept to creation. Most recently he pioneered the development and launch of a new ‘Inspired by’ Chocolate Pavé dessert, featuring the finest Beligian chocolate.
Global giant hospitality firm, Sodexo, works in partnership with James on its independent schools business, as an ambassador for its ‘fresh food from scratch’ ethos. As part of his role, James shares his expertise with Sodexo’s chefs, advises on sustainable sourcing methods and visits schools across the country to host live food demonstrations and events.
James is the chairman of judges for The Nestlé Professional Toque d'Or, an annual competition for young catering students.
Both Chris and James have been ambassadors of Flavour Fest for over 14 years, helping to grow it into the South West of England’s largest free food and drink festival. With more than 100 traders showcasing the best regional produce, as well as cookery demonstrations from talented local and celebrity chefs, the event attracts over 100,000 food lovers.
Chris and James are passionate about developing and nurturing future culinary talent and support several educational institutions. This includes acting as patrons for City College Plymouth and its state-of-the-art training kitchens and brasserie, as well as also being patrons of Bromley College’s Hospitality, Food and Enterprise Career College.
